How do I install eToolKit?
For Internet Explorer users
- Click Run in the File Download dialog box, and then follow the installer instructions.
For Mozilla Firefox users
- Press the Save File button. The Firefox Download Manager may appear to inform you the download was completed.
- To run the installer click on the file in the Download Manager window or where you normally save download files. Depending on your security settings, you may be presented with dialogs asking for permission to continue. Confirm you want to proceed with the installation.

eToolKit also can be downloaded from our partners' websites. -
How do I update my eToolKit to the latest version?
Your eToolKit will be automatically updated when new versions of its components are released.
Registration and Logging-in

Why do I need to create an account?
You're not forced to create an account, but most of the eToolKit features are available for registered users only.

How do I create an account?
Registration form appears if you try to use something that demands logging in, e.g. NetDisk, CryptoDisk etc. However, the simplest way to see the registration form is to click the Lock button in your browser's toolbar or choose the Lock item in the system tray menu. When you see the registration form, please do the following:
- If you haven't an eToolKit account yet: type your email, think up your password and type it twice to avoid mistakes. Please memorize or write down your password!
- If you already have an account, please type your existing email and password for this account.
- Click the OK button and wait until your account is created and connected to your computer.

How can I change my password?
You can change your password in the Settings. Open the "Modules and Security" tab and click the "Change password" button. Please keep in mind that changing your password may take some time if you have your CryptoDisk created (thats because the system needs to recrypt all files with the new password), so be patient.

I forgot my password, what can I do?
We are sorry, but it's impossible to recover your password if you forgot it. We can only recommend to register a new eToolKit account.
Uninstalling

How do I uninstall eToolKit?
For Windows users
You can uninstall eToolKit through Start→Control Panel→Add or Remove Programs. It is strongly recommended to keep your web browsers closed during the uninstallation process.
Please keep in mind that uninstallation of eToolKit doesn't affect your browser's search and start page settings. You can switch off eToolKit search plugin and change the start page in your web browser's preferences.
If the steps described above doesn't work for you, please download and run eToolKit uninstaller.
Troubleshooting

I've got "Pipe Error" message, and eToolKit isn't working correctly.
To resolve this, please try the following:
- Reboot your computer.
- If it doesn't help, go to the Start → Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services, find the "Toolkit Service" in the list and click "Restart". Make sure that the status of the service is "running".
- If you still have this error after that, try to reinstall eToolKit (uninstall it and install again).
Easy Search
Easy Search is a searchbox that lets you search the web directly from your web browser's toolbar. Modules can provide different search types, e.g. site search, mp3 search and so on. To use the Easy Search, just type your query into the searchbox and press the Enter key or click the Search button.
Weather Forecast Indicator
Weather Forecast Indicator displays the weather for today and the forecast for tomorrow for your region. Clicking on the indicator will open a window that have extended features - two-day forecast and possibility to see the weather for other regions.

How to display weather for my region?
Your regional settings will be determined automatically on the first run of the application. However, you can always change your region in the Settings.

How to change temperature units?
You can change temperature units in the Settings.
Troubleshooting

The weather is not displayed correctly, indication is missing or the weather information is obsolete.
Check your internet connection. If your connection is stable, restart your web browser - the actual weather data will be loaded automatically.
Network Traffic Indicator
Network Traffic Indicator displays the graph of the network traffic flow and your current data transfer speed.

How could I customize the indicator?
You can choose to display incoming, outgoing or summary traffic in the Settings.
Financial Indicator
Financial Indicator displays the last stock quotes values and their positive/negative changes. Clicking on the indicator will open a window that displays extended market information.

How do I change indexes that are displayed in the indicator?
You can select any three of index types to display in the Settings.
NetDisk
NetDisk is a cloud storage for your files, photos, videos and many more.
You automatically get 1GB of free storage when you register.

How do I use the NetDisk?
NetDisk uses WebDAV technology, so it can be connected to your computer as a virtual drive. This is done automatically when you click the NetDisk button on your web browser's toolbar or select the NetDisk menu item from the system tray menu. You can also use any 3rd-party software which is able to deal with the WebDAV protocol. One other way to use NetDisk is your personal area on the eToolKit.com website.

Can I share the files on my NetDisk?
No, file sharing is not allowed. But you can share your images and video using our multimedia features.
Troubleshooting

My NetDisk is too slow and is hanging sometimes!
The NetDisk works over the network, so it physically can't be as fast as your local drive, especially if you work with large files. Please be patient.

I have copied some files to my NetDisk, but I can't see them!
You can experience this if you try to copy large amount of data to your NetDisk. Reason is that Windows may show a progress indicator only when copying your files to a temporary location. Then it says that copying was successful, but the actual data transfer may have not been completed yet, and it is processed in background mode without any indication. In this situation, you can:
- Just wait until data transfer is completed.
- Use the 3rd-party WebDAV client instead of Windows Explorer.
Bookmarks
Bookmarks allow you to keep links to your favorite websites, protect them by a password and sync them across your devices.

How to bookmark the webpages?
You can bookmark the webpage that you are viewing in your web browser by selecting the "Add Bookmark" item in the Bookmarks menu. Specify the title of the bookmark (webpage title is the default), select folder where the bookmark should be kept and click the OK button.

How to use my bookmarks?
Just click on the Bookmarks button and select one of your bookmark from the menu, and your web browser will navigate you to the bookmarked webpage. You can also access your bookmarks in your personal area on the eToolKit.com website.

How to create a folder?
You can create a new folder when you adding a bookmark. Click the "New" button near the "Save to folder" field, enter a name for a new folder, then click the OK button.

How to edit bookmarks?
To edit a bookmark, click the Bookmarks button, right-click the bookmark, select the "Edit" or "Move" item from the context menu, edit the data of the bookmark and click the OK button. You can change the title of the bookmark and set up a different folder where the bookmark should be kept, thats why there is no difference between "Edit" and "Move" options.

How to delete bookmarks?
To delete a bookmark, click the Bookmarks button, right-click the bookmark, select the "Delete" item from the context menu and confirm this operation. You can delete folders in a similar way, but it is allowed to delete empty folders only.

How to sync bookmarks between my devices?
Bookmarks are synced automatically if you have eToolKit installed on the target device and if you are logged into your account.

How to protect my bookmarks?
You only have access to the Bookmarks if your toolbar is in the unlocked state. If it's locked, no one can view or change your bookmarks. If you don't want to hide your bookmarks this way, uncheck the "Hide Bookmarks when locked" option in the Settings.
MySafe
MySafe is a protected storage for your passwords, notes and event reminders. Just like Bookmarks, MySafe data is protected and syncronized across your devices.

How to use MySafe?
MySafe keeps your data as entries. Every entry has a type - Password, Event or Note, and a number of fields that contain your data - username, password, notes, date/time and a period of recurring. Entry has a title and is tied to some webpage URL. You can view any entry by selecting it from the MySafe menu. When you navigate a webpage that has one or more MySafe entries tied with it, MySafe icon changes its color and you can see these entries when you click the MySafe button. You can copy previously saved username and/or password from the "View entry" window and paste in into the corresponding field on the webpage. You can also access your MySafe entries in your personal area on the eToolKit.com website.

How to add/edit/remove MySafe entries?
You can manage your MySafe entries the same way as you manage your Bookmarks. Also you can use MySafe "Manage entries" option that provides an usable interface to manage MySafe entries.

What is the difference between "Password", "Note" and "Event" entry types?
There's not a big difference between them, and you can switch type of the entry any time you want. Some fields are disabled in different modes, you can see it when you edit the entry. Only events have special functionality - they remind you by a message in the balloon in the bottom right corner of the screen when time comes.
CryptoDisk
CryptoDisk is a strongly encrypted and password protected virtual drive on your system. You can use it if you want to hide some files from others and to have private access to them.

How do I use the CryptoDisk?
You can use it just like you use any other drive in your system - create, copy or move files, folders etc. However, the CryptoDisk must be created and mounted to your system first.

How to create the CryptoDisk?
To create the CryptoDisk, please do the following:
- Press the CryptoDisk button on your web browser's toolbar or select the CryptoDisk menu item from the system tray menu.
- If you haven't an account yet, you'll be asked to register. Complete the registration procedure and follow to the next step.
- If you haven't a CryptoDisk on your PC, you'll be asked to create one. Select the size of CryptoDisk and press the OK button. Remember that CryptoDisk will use your physical disk space, so you shouldn't choose unnecessarily large amount of space. It is recommended to use the default value - it is optimal in most cases.
- Wait some seconds while CryptoDisk is creating and mounting to your system - now it is ready to use.

How to delete the CryptoDisk?
To delete the CryptoDisk, open the Settings window and click the Delete button in the CryptoDisk section.
Private Data Cleaner
Private Data Cleaner is an application that removes your web surfing traces and helps to make the web surfing private.

How do I use the Cleaner?
Click the Cleaner button, confirm types of data that will be cleaned or change them in the Settings, click the "Start Cleaning" button and just wait while the Cleaner is doing his job.
Lock/Unlock
You can lock your eToolKit to protect your private data. A number of eToolKit features are disabled and unaccessible when eToolKit is in locked state. Unlocking eToolKit is possible with your password only.

What features will be hidden when I lock my eToolKit?
The following features will be locked: Bookmarks (only if the flag "Hide Bookmarks when locking" is checked in the Settings), MySafe, NetDisk, CryptoDisk. You may notice that the icons of these services have a small "lock" sign. Settings are also unavailable when eToolKit is in the locked state.

My eToolKit is always locked and I can't unlock it, why?
When the eToolKit Windows Service is unreachable, it is automatically locked for security reasons. To resolve this issue, you can try the following options:
- Reboot your computer, then try to unlock eToolKit again.
- If it doesn't help, go to the Start → Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services, find the "Toolkit Service" in the list and click "Restart".
- If you still haven't reached a result, try to reinstall eToolKit (uninstall it and install again).

To get the fast and exact answer, please follow these simple recommendations when you compose your message:
- Read this FAQ before starting to write a message - maybe your question already has an answer.
- Specify correct e-mail address, enter the subject that reflects the basic idea of your message and choose the correct type of message.
- Provide as many details of your issue as possible - what did you do before the problem occurs, what did you expect to get, what did you actually get.

Where can I read an answer to my message and view my conversation history?
All your conversations are kept on the server, and you can view them in your personal area on the eToolKit.com website (this option is for registered users only). Copies of all answers are also included in notification emails that our system sends you.

What is the 'ticket status'? What is the difference between 'Opened', 'Answered' and 'Closed'?
Ticket status shows the state of processing your message. 'Opened' tickets are waiting to be processed by the Support Team. 'Answered' tickets are already processed and answered, but the Support Team is waiting for your reply - e.g. they may ask you to provide some additional information about your issue. If the ticket is 'Closed', it means that there's nothing more to say about this issue, and the Support Team provided comprehensive information on the subject. Tickets also may be closed due to too much time of inactivity of the user. You can always check your tickets' statuses in your personal area on eToolKit.com (this option is for registered users only).
Multimedia Sharing
You can create online image galleries, upload your videos and share them.

How to create online image gallery?
To create online image gallery, do the following:
- Right-click your image files and/or folders in the Windows Explorer.
- Select the "Create image gallery" item from the context menu.
- Specify the title for your gallery, password (optional) and select one of the image resize options, then click the "Create" button.
- Wait until the images are uploaded and processed.
- Copy and save the link to your gallery. Now you can navigate to the gallery using your favorite web browser or share this link with your friends.

How to upload a video?
To upload a video, do the following:
- Right-click your video file in the Windows Explorer.
- Select the "Create video file web page" item from the context menu.
- Specify the title for your video file web page and password (optional), then click the "Create" button.
- Wait until the video file is uploaded and processed.
- Copy and save the link to your video file web page. Now you can navigate to this page using your favorite web browser or share this link with your friends.

Where the uploaded images and video files are stored?
Your images and video files are stored on your NetDisk in special hidden folders. Don't delete or move them, otherwise your galleries and video file web pages may be corrupted.
Troubleshooting

I can't see the "Create image gallery" or "Create video file web page" in the Windows Explorer context menu.
The reasons for this may be:
- There aren't any image or video files in the selection. Make sure that you have selected proper files and try again.
- You have selected multiple video files. Uploading multiple video files is not supported. Please select single video file and try again.
- eToolKit shell extensions are corrupted. You need to reinstall eToolKit and reboot your system after that.

I'm getting some error messages during the uploading process.
The reasons for this may be:
- A network data transfer error occured. Check your internet connection and try again.
- You have run out of space on your NetDisk. Free some space by deleting unnecessary files and try again.
Internet Radio & Music Player
You can listen to the radio or play your mp3s from your browser when you surf the web.

How do I listen to the internet radio?
Open the Radio menu by clicking on the arrow to the right of track name, point the "Radio/genres" item and select a radio from the list.

How to listen to the radio channels that are not in list?
Select "Add to playlist" → "URL" from the Radio menu, then copy and paste the radio URL and click "OK".

How to play mp3 music by the player?
Select "Add to playlist" → "File(s)" or "Folder" and open mp3 files or playlists (m3u or pls).
SocialBar
SocialBar adds the Facebook support to your eToolKit. You can read your news feed, update your status, share and like the web pages. Facebook Chat client is also provided.

How do I use SocialBar?
SocialBar is intuitive and user-friendly. Use the "Main" button to read your news feed, view notifications and manage friend requests. The "Like" button is used to "like" or "recommend" the web page you're currently viewing to your friends. The "Share" button allows you to post the link to current web page with your own comment on your Wall. The "Status" button lets you change your Facebook status. The "Chat" button opens the Facebook Chat client.

Why do I see only the "Main" Facebook icon?
That's because your Facebook account isn't connected to the SocialBar. Click the button and log in your Facebook account.
